MAY IT BE THE CAUSE OF LISTERIOSIS ?

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN SHORT OF STAFF

Shortage of workers in the Department of Health who are responsible for inspecting food materials might have an impact on the Listeriosis not being tested here in South Africa. 

This was said by the Minister of Health, Doctor Aaron Motsoaledi at the parliament. Apparently the Department is in short of 3300 workers in Environmental Health. 

 Now food inspection is being done by the municipality so Minister of Health was seeking power from the parliament to go and check on workers who are under environmental health so he could be able to add more workers.

Mr Motswoaledi has a point, maybe the workers are really overloaded with work. I hope the parliament gives him what he is asking.

Mitchell's Plain Policeman has shot and killed his girlfriend and his girlfriend`s mother before killing himself, this happened after he locked them in their house in Lentegeur.

It is reported that Detective Sergeant Grantville Brooks(41) did this after  an argument that occurred   on Wednesday night between him and  his girlfriend, on Thursday gunshots were heard coming from the girlfriend`s home where the argument had happened. Neighbors called the police and emergency services and they arrived as fast as they could.

It`s so sad how people are killed these days over useless and meaningless arguments, our sisters are being killed like they are nobody. People have lost their conscious, the worst part is that even polices are contributing to this death rate increase.

SNAKE CURSE SHOCK!

A man named Mokete Koloi who is living with his wife Malebala (35) and their two children had been suffering for years in their home because of scary things that kept on happening on their home. Mokete  told the Daily Sun that he had gone to many pastors and sangomas with no success until he met Prophet Paul Mpobolo. Prophet Mpobolo claimed he had been bewitched by someone close to the family and an evil snake was following them around. 

Mpobolo brought his congregation from his church in Sebokeng zone 10 to drive out the huge snake he claimed was destroying the Koloi family. The prophet instructed two of his followers to fetch Mokete’s wardrobe. According to witnesses, he gave a precise description of where the wardrobe was despite never having been inside the family’s shack.Less than five minutes later, a python was discovered in the shack and brought out. It was locked in the wardrobe, which was then set alight.

Mokete told the Daily Sun that his life has been falling apart for years and when he even  went to a Sangoma in Limpopo who gave him muti to drink, after drinking he vomited a skin snake.He said before he met the prophet, he would often hear banging sounds in his house when there was no one around.

 It makes me feel good to see that there are still people who uses God for a good purpose so He could be worshiped and praised for the good person He is. This proves that not all pastors and prophets are evil.

A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED

STUDENT DROPS OUT OF COLLEGE TO HELP DYING BEST FRIEND COMPLETE HIS LIST.

A generous student, Dillon Hill(19)  has dropped out of college  to help his dying  best friend to complete his bucket list. After being diagnosed with cancer devastated  Chris Betancourt(20) believes that he is only has one-year-left to live. So Dillon dropped college to make sure that his  20 year old  friend gets the most of his time.

Dillon was sober minded when he took that decision, he knew that he would lose his job too and will soon live out of his car but still he continued because he wanted to help his friend complete his extensive bucket.The two,who’ve been documenting their experiences, have grown an online community who are inspired by what their doing and are now helping other people their bucket lists. 

The duo is now planning on lifting weights with the former wrestler The Rock. From my point of view that was very thoughtful of Dillon to help his best friend enjoy the last days of his life on earth even though it costed him academically. SO AS THE READER, WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR FRIEND THAT WOULD COST YOU EVEN IF ITS NOT ACADEMICALLY?

CHINESE GIRL WHO WAS ADOPTED BY AN AMERICAN FAMILY  REUNITES WITH HER BIRTH PARENTS.

My post today was inspired by parents who are from China who chose to abandon their child (Kate Pohler) 25 years ago due to a policy that ruled back then in China which restricted people from having two or more children. When Kati Pohler was three days old she was left at a market in China. She was later adopted by an American family, when she was 20 she discovered that her birth parents had left her a note and that every year on the same day, they waited for her in a famous bridge in Hangzhou.

Kati`s mother gave birth to her in a boat and his husband did all the work including cutting the umbilical cord. They then quickly rushed to a neighboring clinic because something needed medical attention, the Doctor there agreed to help them without warning the authorities. After 3 days Kati`s parents knew that they would be in big trouble if found with her since they had already have another child. They then decided to take her to the market where she can be taken by an orphanage.

What these parents did was solemnly out of LOVE, their could not abort their child instead they gave it away with hope that they will reunite with her of which they did. Love is expressed in different ways whether in romantic relationship,family relationship or friendship. So  these parents decided to show their love in this way even though they were hurting.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING BLACK?

Now that I am given an opportunity to voice my opinion, I have decided to make my first post about something affecting our Africa.

We are all unique, beautiful in our own way and most importantly created with God's image. As Africans we are said to be black and that blackness varies from light skinned and dark skinned. People grew up telling themselves that the most beautiful people in the world are the ones with white skin then when they are old and independent, they start buying creams so to bleach their skin and be'' beautiful''. I am thinking that the reason behind that is  lack of love and satisfaction for themselves.

People are so desperate of being told that they are beautiful that they even put their lives in danger. They think that white means beauty, forgetting that after  bleaching their skin  severe pains will follow, they will not be able to walk freely without covering their faces and may even encounter diseases

While Mshoza  herself admits that her decision to lighten her skin is indeed “part of … a self-esteem issue,” can we safely conclude that skin bleaching, a now global, and widely practiced phenomenon, is the result of low self-esteem and/or self-hatred??
